Facing the 1420th Imperial Strike Group we've got the Rebel Task Force "Minos Freedom"... Same drill: each player's alter ego is a lieutenant (named using the same "Star Wars name" trick as the Imperials) commanding a squadron (with a "rainbow" naming scheme: the 4 original players had Red, Gold, Green and Blue squadrons). Again, NPC are generated as needed...
We briefly had an Indigo Squadron, but the player deserted the Rebellion and joined the Empire! |
With the arrival of Scum & Villainy, I was confronted with the problem of what to do with a third faction... I considered making them a full fledge third side in the campaign, but decided against it: the three factions would be very different in size (you can't see it from the organisation charts, but Gold and Green Squadrons are playing about half as many games as most other player and Purple and Orange Squadrons doesn't show up at all most of the time, so the Rebels have only the equivalent of 3 "full" squadrons against the Imperials' 6: better discipline in the Empire I guess) and I was afraid of the campaign turning into some sort of Diplomacy game with alliances between two factions against the third becoming a major factor. So instead I just called the third faction "mercennaries" to be used by the organisator to balance factions depending on who actually shows up each time we meet.
The Empire took control of Travnin (and of the Travnin-Mestra Trade Route), more fight occuring in Adarlon, Pergitor, Shesharile and Tyrellia... |
I made them part of the Kubla Cartel (Mr Kubla is - one of? - our local - possibly! - corrupt politician IRL and quickly became the Minos Cluster Hutt boss) but, I'm still wainting for the concerned players to provide me with names for their squadrons (gangs?)
